This unique bottle of whisky has been inspired by nearly 200 years of history of the Glanusk Estate and the opening of The Oak Collection or Quercetum.

For centuries Oak Wine was made in Wales. The idea to mellow a gin through different Oaks and ‘upland’ botanicals that can be found on The Estate & The Black Mountains reflects this heritage. Founded in 1826 by Sir Joseph Bailey, The Estate has always had fabulous Oak trees throughout the park.

Over the past 40 years, a new collection of Oaks was planted by Bill Legge-Bourke; now expanded and literally grown by his son Harry Legge-Bourke (7th GenerationCustodian of the Estate) to a staggering 300+ species.
